Lifeguard on the Ready!

My rescue dog, Violet, had quite the scare the first time she encountered a covered pool! She had never seen a pool cover before, and jumped in the water without realizing there was a cover on it! Suddenly she was enveloped by the plastic and was quickly rescued by the lifeguard. We couldn't believe she had just jumped right in, but she definitely won't do that again! We felt so badly for her, but you can see in the photo she was grateful for the lift out of the water and was perfectly unscathed after her little scare. This is a great reminder about pool safety and making sure your pets are supervised when they're around the pool!
